I had an overall pleasant stay at the Fairway Forest resort in southwestern North Carolina, which is a great base for exploring the nearby mountains and waterfalls. While the recently updated accommodations were comfortable, the firm beds might not suit everyone. The check-in process can be a bit tricky since it's two miles away from the property, and some facilities are not right by the units, but the surrounding area has so much to offer for nature lovers. Overall, a solid value for those looking to explore the outdoors.
